Silers Cave Preserve

Silers Cave is a new cave preserve of the MAKC. The current owners purchased the property in October 2018 with the intent of reopening the cave to the caving community.

MAKC is partnering with Sligo and Baltimore Grottos, both of which are members of MAKC, and Jim McConkey, who will serve as cave manager, in managing access to this new leased preserve. The cave was closed for many reasons, so please read the management plan and become familiar with its history and access requirements prior to requesting a trip to this gated cave.

Persons who are not familiar to the cave manager should copy and paste the answers to these questions in the body of an email to: silerscave@karst.org.
